Social media photo deluge?
Recent figures show that the explosion of mobile phone camera ownership has triggered a deluge of photos on the internet.
Facebook boast that 350 million photos are uploaded daily. But photo sharing sites SnapChat brag of 700 million a day, with users sharing 8,796 per second - and Whatsapp users share 8,102 per second. This compared to Facebook’s 4,501 per second, Instagram’s 810, and Flickr’s 41.
